History

Firebrand Games was founded and is run by Mark Greenshields who has been in the games industry his entire career (since 1981). Mark started off as an author of computer books teaching others how to write games and program in assembly language, before progressing to games programming, running development studios and working in the UK, France and Canada.
One of the earliest million selling titles that Mark was responsible for was “Kick off”. Kick off was the first hugely successful football game (soccer to those in the US) in Europe.
As a lifelong racing fan, forming Firebrand was both a good business decision and a dream for Mark. Firebrand was born out of both a desire to create a world class racing studio as well as a having a team of exceptional individuals in the right place.
Having started as a small core team of highly experienced developers in Glasgow, Scotland, the company has now expanded with a studio in Florida, USA.
